Regarding this Riger wireless router modem, through internet, i found out that other than the default username “tmuser”, there is also another hidden username “tmadmin” where it comes in full access control. This username is for advance user because a lot of features are available to play around.
I did mentioned that hardly to save settings using “tmuser” username. But when using “tmadmin” username, no more such issue. Cheer! haha.
For Streamyx Combo Wireless@Home package, the wireless router modem given is the Riger DB108-WL.
To setup this wireless router modem is simple. Plug in everything in the box and power ON the device.

Yesterday evening my Streamyx connection having issue… Totally cannot online…This morning also cannot, until afternoon…
Below is the system log from my Aztech 600EU modem. It is due to the gateway and IP address problem.
Sometimes i will receive this kind of IP, but after restart, it will back to normal… But this time, it took a day to resolve this issue…Eventhough internet access is up, i found that some servers and MSN Messenger cannot be access…
Below is the correct gateway and IP…
Riger DB102 is the common modem associated in Streamyx in a box package. To setup this modem for streamyx is very simple.
1. Login to modem configuration. By default, user name & password are “tmadmin”.
2. Click on “SmartConfig”, select operation mode, “PPPoE/auto dial” or “bridge/manual dial”, enter your streamyx user name & password, click “submit”.
3. Below screen will be directed, click “submit” again.
4. That’s all, now u just need to wait for the connection.
Unlike others modem, Riger use different kind of status LED.
Power: Indicates power supply (Red LED)
Link: Indicates DSL line connection (Orange LED)
Data: Indicates PPPoE connection *Not available for bridge mode (Green LED)
PC: Indicates network connection (Green LED)
On my older post regarding streamyx line condition, I’ve noticed some line connection error. PPPoE is connected, but u cant surf net, request time out appear when u try to ping any website.
When i check the line status, DS margin value is very big, or become “0″.
In this case, we can confirm that line error. We need to restart modem again. This time, DS margin value is normal, and internet is working again.
To setup Dlink 2640T wireless router modem is very simple. There is a wizard way or manual way to do it. For wizard method, u just need to follow the instruction where i dont think is a problem for normal user. Below is the manual method to setup Streamyx.
1. Open browser, type “192.168.1.1″ to enter modem configuration mode. User name & password will be ask, for default, both also “admin”.
2. Click on “WAN”, fill in below settings and save it.
VPI = 0
VCI = 35
WAN setting = PPPOE/PPPOA
Username = xxxx@streamyx
Password
3. Setup SSID for the wireless name if u do not like the default name.
4. Lock your wireless with WEP or WPA.
Listed default password for all TMNet Streamyx supported modem. Personally, i only tried ZTE modem, Riger modem, Billion modem, & Aztech modem. No idea why modem manual is not included inside “Streamyx In A BOX” package…

One of our friend ask about guide of setting up Aztech DSL600EU modem. This model is a combo router which comes with Ethernet port and USB port. For ethernet, just plug network cable only, if connect through USB, need to install the USB driver in order for PC to detect. Other than that, Aztech DSL600EU support both bridge mode and router mode. In bridge mode, u need to create a dialer containing your streamyx user name and password. Every time u want to connect to internet, u need to manually dial it. If in router mode, streamyx user name and password is stored inside the modem, once you switch it ON, it will automatic establish internet connection for you.
Due to bridge mode is a bit fussy, is more convenient to setup as router mode.
The modem configuration is web based, therefore u need to open up IE/firefox browser and under URL type “192.168.1.1” and press Enter to login to router. Below screen will appear.
For default, Both the username and password are “admin“.
After login screen , u will be direct to quick start screen.
