I’ve been using this cute little phone for few weeks. As a phone, overall is better than my previous Toshiba G900. Moreover, i’ve upgraded the N2 OS from version 2.1.552.2 to 2.1.552.5. (* did not notice what is the changes in newest version..)
Anyway, in case u need to replace the 1GB storage to higher capacity, u need to install the OS. Below is the guide of doing a clean installation on new storage card.
Resources needed:
Neonode N2 OS and manual, where u can download at www.neonode.com.
First, turn off your N2 and connect it to your PC through the USB cable, backup all your files.
*It will act like a removable drive.
Second, run the Nero.exe program. Click “Change”.

Select your desire languages.
Then, click “Advance”. U can see there are 2 option, “clean installation” and “Format SD”. For upgrade OS only, choose “clean installation”. Whereas for new storage card, click “Format SD”. After formatted SD, u need to run the Nero.exe again for installation.

Once finished copied the files to your N2, your N2 will start installing the OS.

Sony Ericsson recently has announced a special Butterfly edition T303 for the upcoming Valentine Day. It comes with a pink chrome casing with butterfly and flower design on the rear, a reflective mirror glass display as well as a matching charm and carrier pouch.

But this special edition might not be available in Malaysia. I’ve seen and hands on this handset. Very light weight, but less features and no expansion for memory… Well, it just cost around RM300+/- only, what do u expects?

As there are new ROMs you may want to flash your device with one of them. Here are the instructions.
1) First, download SuperRUU utility software.
2) Then download your desirable ROM(usually it has an extension like nb0, dip, dio etc)
3) Launch SuperRUU
4) You __must__ select OS radiobutton, then browse for the ROM, and only then press “Update target” button
Don’t ever try to set radio button to IPL or OSCP unless you know what you are doing.

5) Power off the device, then while holding left soft-button turn power on. Our device is now waiting for usb connection

6) Plug in usb data cable from the PC into your device

7) Please wait until a new rom is being recorded to the device

Average rom upload time is about 3 minutes. If the process finished successfully, you’ll see below message, as well as progress bar should turn to green.

The wireless adapter on Toshiba G900 smartphone can be modified as a external wireless adapter.
1. PPC Settings:
Modify this values in the registry. You may copy, paste and save it as REG file

“DisabledOnBoot”=dword:00000000
“EnableAddressTranslation”=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINECommTcpipParms]
“IpEnableRouter”=dword:00000001
Restart
2. PC Settings:
- Forbid the usb connection of ActiveSync.
- Plug the usb cable into PC and G900, a new connection will appear on your PC.
- Set like the following in the IP property interface of the connection made by G900:
- IP Address:169.254.2.2
- Subnet Mask:255.255.0.0

Take a look at above picture. Aren’t the phone A and B quite similar? If you haven’t touch or use iPhone before, you must have thought that phone A and B are both iPhone. But if you take a closer look and try to see the back of the phone, you can now differ which one is iPhone and which one is actually fake. Phone B is turn to be a fake iPhone, a great one definitely to imitate the real iPhone.

As the news reported, phone B is CSL DS100. Not made in China, is made in Malaysia! Wow, i dont even know that Malaysia got their own phones… Even the CSL official site, the creator, doesn’t reveal any more information regarding this. If you want to know the price of this phone, it ranges from RM 700 to 800, equals to USD 225! Oh so not worth it for a fake phone with expensive tag! For your info, there are only 2 mobile phone brand owned by Malaysian, which is CSL and M-Mobile.
