FotoMix

FotoMix enables you to mix and blend pictures to achieve greenscreen/bluescreen effects. It allows you to blend a person or object from one photo into another background by simply painting over the areas you want to become transparent and then inserting the object into a new background. You can also use the software to remove or replace backgrounds, create photo collages, blend multiple images into one, and for many other fun projects.

Once you have created the initial composition, you can fine-tune it with a variety of effect brushes and adjustments that allow you to smooth and blend edges, apply tint, adjust colors and more. You can get even more creative with the help of several artistic tools that let you deform the subject (caricature effects), add text overlays and apply image filters to achieve a unique result. FotoMix is easy to use and other than some creative inspiration, it does not require any graphic editing skills. The result can be saved as project file or exported as JPG image.

Vista Black Screen with Cursor

There are many causes of the Vista black screen issue. The symptoms are after logging in, screen will goes black and can see a mouse cursor only. Below is one of the method i’ve tried that able to resolve the issue.

Resolution:

“C:\Windows\System32\winevt” in that folder is another one named LOGS

Rename the LOGS folder to LOGSold and reboot.

“C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs” -> “C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold”

REN C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold

PS: We need to have Vista CD in order to rename/recreate the Log folder.

Below is the link of other similar black screen issue:

DC++

DC++ is an open source client for Windows for the Direct Connect network. Direct Connect allows you to share files over the Internet without restrictions or limits. The client is completely free of advertisements and has a nice, easy to use interface. Firewall and router support is integrated and it is easy and convenient to use functionality like multi-hub connections, auto-connections and resuming of downloads.

DC++ offers these improvements over its predecessors:

  • Much more stable. DC++ wastes less memory, is faster, file size is smaller and long queue won’t freeze the whole program. Neo-Modus Direct Connect eats memory and resources.
  • You can connect to many hubs at same time and search for files from all of them with same search.
  • You can continue downloading the same file from other users if somebody leaves.
  • You can see timestamps in the chat. Chat won’t jump to end when you roll back old messages.
  • Bot messages wont popup new windows, you can also filter bot messages out.
  • No Ads.
  • Search is more versatile.
