Download Motherboard Driver
Due to the “good design” of Window based OS, we often need to reformat and reinstall the OS. After reinstall OS, we need to install the related drivers for each hardware that hooked together, such as mainboard/motherboard, graphic card, printer and other peripherals. Normally cd containing driver and manual are included when we purchase the hardware, but sometimes we might lost it or not included for bundled pc and etc. Thus, we need to find from the internet in order to download the driver. So, the 1st driver we need to install after reformat is the motherboard driver. (*U need to bring up the pc in order to conduct internet search & download for others hardware). Below is the few ways that we can identify the model and manufacturer for particular motherboard in order to download the related drivers.
1. Press “Pause” key during boot up. Up to date motherboard often include manufacturer or chipset logo. For below boot screen , we know that it is using AMD 690G chipset, thus we can download the drivers from AMD website.

2. We can also use software to check the motherboard. Download CPU-Z and run it. It is a freeware that gathers information on some of the main devices of your system. Such as processor, motherboard and ram.
For branded retail motherboard such as Asus, MSI, Gigabyte, Biostar and etc, their manufacturer name can be detected, but OEM board might not available.
3. Lastly, we need to open up the casing and look at the motherboard. We can find the model name or manufacturer name printed on the board. Once we found the model name, we can search on internet.

Above model is a Jetway motherboard.
