One of our friend ask about guide of setting up Aztech DSL600EU modem. This model is a combo router which comes with Ethernet port and USB port. For ethernet, just plug network cable only, if connect through USB, need to install the USB driver in order for PC to detect. Other than that, Aztech DSL600EU support both bridge mode and router mode. In bridge mode, u need to create a dialer containing your streamyx user name and password. Every time u want to connect to internet, u need to manually dial it. If in router mode, streamyx user name and password is stored inside the modem, once you switch it ON, it will automatic establish internet connection for you.

Due to bridge mode is a bit fussy, is more convenient to setup as router mode.

The modem configuration is web based, therefore u need to open up IE/firefox browser and under URL type “192.168.1.1” and press Enter to login to router. Below screen will appear.

For default, Both the username and password are “admin“.

After login screen , u will be direct to quick start screen.

Just enter your streamyx account information.

User name = xxx@streamyx

Password = xxxxxx

Protocol = PPPoE LLC

VPI = 0 ; VCI = 35

After that press connect and it will establish connection for you. Once successful, click “Save Settings”.

Thats all, very simple, the next time u switch ON your modem, it will auto establish connection for u.

For Advance setup, just click the Setup tab beside Quick Start.

Just click New connection under WAN Setup, just the Type and follow on screen setup. Thats’ all.

For bridge mode, just change the name and VPI & VCI, Press Apply and Save.

After that, u need to go to your PC network connections–>Create a new connection–>Connect to the internet–>Setup my connection manually–>Connect Using Broadband connection that require username and password—>Insert ISP Name( Streamyx or what ever name u like ) –>Insert Account Info.

For bridge mode, change the type to PPPoE and your desire name, insert you username and password, confirm VPI & VCI, click Apply and Save Settings. That’s all.
