Upgraded to 2GB ram

Due to year end and ram pricing decreased, i brought another Kingston 1GB DDRII 677 ram my PC now is 2GB ram. hehe..

Before upgrade, i did some benchmark test on single channel. Due to my motherboard support dual channel, once upgraded it will automatic run in dual channel mode.

Single Channel:

3DMark05

PCMark04

After upgraded into 2GB dual channel mode:

3DMark05

PCMark04

From the figures above, we can see that more memory does not help much in 3D/gaming. Because 1GB is enough for system, what is important in 3D/gaming is the kind of graphic card.

But in memory scores of PCMarko4, we can noticed a great increase because dual channel provides more bandwidth compare to single channel.

Other than that, when we want to burn disc, system wouldnt hang due to larger memory capacity.
