hi, just want to ask abt RAM. i bought 512×2 DDR RAM for my pc abt 8 months ago. then, i check the properties of the computer (right click my computer > properties) it showed 908MB of RAM. but when i check again these few days, it shows 738MB of RAM. why is that so? any opinion? tq.

I think your pc is probably running built in display ( no graphic card ) which sharing your memory ( ram ), this is why when u check, the capacity is different. Or other case, u r running turbo cache graphic card which share your memory also.

ic, so is there any way to change it back, id possible?

If u r using built in display, u can set the amount of share memory under BIOS. If u r using turbo chache graphic card, i think u can set it under the display driver…
I believe that now your pc is auto assign share memory capacity. Pls take note that system will have problem if u set “share memory” too low…

i checked my system, and it state “share memory = 32MB”, i think this is low enough already.

i didnt change anything since it is already 32MB, i think maybe because of any software that control my memory. but i cant figure out which software
