Aztech DSL600EU Upgrade Firmware
Last two week my Aztech DSL600EU modem cannot retrieve dsl line. Dunno why it can’t, maybe caused by the voice mail in phone line which provided by Telekom because both my DSL600EU modem cannot get dsl signal… Luckily i got another Aztech DSL305E modem… ( I got 3 Aztech dsl modems, dunno can consider Aztech fans or not… haha ) which manage to get the dsl line and access to internet.

Then i thought this maybe firmware problem, therefore i go and try upgrade it to 62.53.002 version. How to upgrade firmware u can refer to http://www.aztech.com/support_
singapore.html#dsl600eu
But during upgrading, pls use IE browser rather than Firefox. Because the 1st attempt i used firefox to run the upgrade, suddenly it stop in the middle resulting my modem gateway missing and cannot be used. Luckily i manage to reflash back my modem… ( I will show how to reflash in next post )

Once updated to different firmware, my DSL600EU modem managed to get the dsl line and access to internet…
But the other one still using the default firmware still got problem… I think i have to flash that one also… Anybody using Aztech DSL600EU modem having this kind of issue ?

February 19, 2007 | 8:38 PMhmmm, my aztech dsl600EU has been acting up too. But it’s a little different problem from yours. Whenever got incoming call, whole router will stop working. restarting modem and laptops how many times also wont work. When it works, it says Limited connection, and gives some weird ip address like 116.254.3.118 instead of the regular 192.168.1.2
WHen try to access the modem’s settings also cannot. Have to physically press the reset button on the modem, then only it will work. Damn weird.

February 20, 2007 | 12:39 AMdear konchy, if available, try borrow or use another modem to test the line. Do bypass splitter during testing. If the other modem is ok, then confirm is your modem problem. If warranty still available, go for it. If already expired, u can try update firmware for your modem.
