This germ free wireless laser mouse form Iogear has special coating that its maker says will neutralise 99% of the microbes on its surface.
The outer shell of the mouse is coated with tiny particles of titanum oxide and silver, and it uses a chemical reaction to battle bacteria and viruses.
The titanum oxide attracts oxygen and water molecules, and when those are combined with light and the titanum oxide’s electrons, the give off free oxygen ion bases.
These ion reduce or eliminate germs, and also create more carbon, oxygen and water particles to start the process all over again, making the mouse self-cleaning.
Features
* Advanced laser technology provides 30x more tracking power
* Works on almost any surface, including glass
* Nano-partical coating neutralizes 99% of all bacteria and viruses on the mouse surface
* Safety approved. Heavy metail free, no skin irritation, non-toxic
* Uses very little real estate on your workspace — needs only a few inches for accurate movement
* Ergonomically contoured design for comfortable use * On/Off switch for power saving
* Stylish carrying case included * 6 feet (2 meter) wireless range
* Solid 3 Year Limited Warranty

Dell has finally launched some desktop machines powered by AMD processors today. The new systems, Dimension E521 and Dimension C521, will become available AMD’s Sempron, Athlon 64, and Athlon 64 X2 processors. They will come with Windows XP Media Center Edition as well as optional TV tuners, and AMD tells us the machines will be certified under the AMD Live! brand. The Live! certification mandates a Socket AM2 Athlon 64 X2 processor, 1GB of RAM, Windows XP Media Center Edition, away mode BIOS support, and a compact form factor.Presumably, only some configurations of the Dimension C521 will have AMD Live! branding, since Dell says the machine is half the size of the Dimension E521 and will start at just $359. The Dimension E521 will be even cheaper, with its base configuration to cost a scant $329. Both systems will go up for sale tomorrow in conjunction with an Intel version of the Dimension E521 dubbed Dimension E520 that will start at $719 and include Pentium D or Core 2 Duo processors.

TFT screens have thousands of pixels, on a 1024×768 monitor, there are three cells for each pixel – one each for red, green, and blue – which amounts to nearly 2.4 million cells (1024×768x 3 = 2,359,296). There’s only a slim chance that all of these will be perfect; more likely, some will be stuck on (creating a “bright” defect) or dead (resulting in a “dark” defect).

In most cases, a stuck or dead pixel is impossible to fix (some people rub them gently with a cloth etc. search the net for other ways), however most manufacturers have a policy which will specify that after X amount of dead/stuck pixels they will replace the screen free of charge (in warranty period). You can use DPT to help identify IF you have any pixels and how many in order to see if you qualify for a replacement screen/laptop.
How to use DPT:

- Move the window by grabbing the border at any location
- Click the www.dps.uk.com text to visit our site
- Left mouse click : Cycles though the basic colours Red, Green, Blue, Black and White
- Right mouse click : Shows and Hides the Main Menu
- Pattern Fill: Toggles between a solid colour on the screen and a selection of patterns. All the patterns are 1 pixel wide to help make spotting dead pixels easier. The secondary colour (off color) can be chosen via the Direct Colour Selection
- Direct Colour Selection : Turns on and off the direct colour selection form (see below)

-
- Move the window by grabbing the border at any location
- Left mouse button : Selects the colour to be displayed
- Right mouse button : Selects the secondary colour to be displayed when using hash (this will be automatically turned on if it is not on alread)
- Colour selector : Pops up the standard colour defining screen where you can pick or make any colour to use.
- Auto Cycle : Automatically colour cycles as if you where pressing the mouse button. Next to this you can change the speed at which this occurs in milliseconds (1000ms=1second)
- Test Screens : Toggles between the standard colour and a selection of displays. Most of these can have both colours changed using the direct colour selection.
- Stuck Pixel Exerciser : There has been some talk on the web of a video that can cure stuck pixels on the PSP, which works by rapidly changing the colour of the pixels. I can not verify or deny if this works, but for fun I wrote my own pixel exerciser. This will bring up another moveable window, that you can put over the stuck pixel(s) which will randomly change the colour of the pixel. Different places say different things on the effectiveness of this, but most leave it running for several hours before they see a result. If this does work for you then please send a donation
and an email so I can post any results. To close this screen, click on the top left corner, and to resize the window use the bottom right corner.

- Move the window by grabbing the border at any location
Help and About : Brings up another moveable window with some license info and help

-
- Move the window by grabbing the border at any location
- Click the paypal donate to make a donation (nochex also welcome)
- Main colour : Shows you the current colour selected
- Pattern colour : Shows you the secondary colour you currently have selected (from the Direct colour selector, using hte right mouse button)
- Exit and close DTP : Closes this program!
Well, i just tested this tiny software on my laptop, and luckily there is no dead pixel on my screen. Anyway, eventhough you might detect dead pixel on your LCD monitor, but it doesnt meant that seller will 100% replace a new one for your. Some seller need 4 or 5 deap pixels or above than only they will make replacement. Therefore, the best way is carry this tiny software and test on spot before paying money. ^^
