For the people who don’t know, but are starting to see the Intel Viiv logo everything, I’ll give a explanation of what it is. Viiv is a platform designed to make a PC into anything other then a normal PC, and instead it is some sort of magical media centre (thanks Intel). Shuttle, who pretty much lead the world in small form PCs, have shown off there latest XPC M2000 Media Centre. Inside it has a interesting array of desktop and laptop parts (to keep size down), such as the Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83Ghz, 512MB DDR2-533 RAM, nVidia GeForce 7600GS PCIe w/ 256MB RAM, Realtek 7.1 channel audio (where is the Creative?), Gigabit Ethernet, 4x DVD Dual Drive, 250GB SATA2 Hard Disk, built-in memory card reader and 802.11b/g wireless. Cnet have done a
review of the M2000, and only really question the small amount of included memory (which would be upgradable anyway). For a peice of
hardware that is suspose to fit in with the rest of you component gadgets, it does look damn attractive (maybe a bit like a old VCR though).
